Matthew Coppolecchia is an indispensable part of Avelino & Hartlaub’s Real Estate Team. His primary practice area is comprehensive transactional real estate inclusive of sophisticated residential, commercial and mixed-use acquisitions and sales involving intricate 1031 exchanges, environmental matters and land use issues. Mr. Coppolecchia heads our business development efforts and is well versed in contractual matters related to business formation and management. On behalf of our clients, Mr. Coppolecchia frequently negotiates zoning and land use issues with municipalities and regulatory agencies such as NJDEP, Department of Community Affairs and NJ Division of Taxation.

He has complemented his practice concentration by representing developers and builders of numerous residential, commercial real estate properties and new construction. In addition, he represents private equity financers as well as publicly traded banks in their commercial real estate financing transactions.

As a direct effect of Mr. Coppolecchia’ s transactional practice he has experience in a myriad of tenancy matters pertaining to issues such as commercial lease negotiation, lease terminations, sub-tenancy agreements and lease enforcement actions.

In addition to practice at Avelino & Hartlaub, LLP, Mr. Coppolecchia teaches paralegal courses on Real Estate & Mortgages and on Estates, Wills & Trusts as an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
